We have a lot planned for this month’s Feet Active!
7pm sharp – Samba drumming class! Michael Stevens who leads regular samba classes in West Philly will guide this class suitable for beginners.
8:45 - Performance by Unidos da Filadelfia (Philadelphia United), a community-based samba school. They played at the Studio 34 anniversary party a few months ago and were amazing. (link below)
9:30 – Dance Party! Ginkgo! Ross of Love!
Midnight – Yoga led by Brittany who teaches at Studio 34. With live DJ. All levels welcome. Candlelight.
Vegan Cupcakes – Autumnly winterly deliciousness.
$5-10 or pay what you can

A very special October Feet Active as Ross of Love and Jason Doodle are both celebrating birthdays.
The night sets up like this…
8pm – a special guest performance by the The Lenny Seidman Tabla Choir, with guest Craig Ebner on sitar.
9:30 – DJs Ginkgo and Ross of Love team up to set the stage for an energetic joyous dance party.
Midnight – Lenny returns to play live tabla during Jason’s midnight yoga class!
100+ vegan cupcakes with a special guest appearance from candles.

The spirits of collaboration are conspiring to make this Feet Active a very special night of local music. (Musicians travelled a combined .4 miles to reach the venue).
7:30- Banjo-slingin’ Joshua Marcus plays some all new environmentally themed songs and recordings inside a 16 foot geodesic dome lined with plastic bottles! (Limited seating in the dome, so come early for this unique, intimate performance)
8:30- Before you know it, your feet are stomping along to the cozy, infectious tunes of The Great Unknown.
9:30- While Ginkgo is carrying the Feet Active torch up to the White Mountains of Vermont, the ever-crimson-clad Ross of Love will guide you through a world tour of fresh grooves.
Throughout the night, enjoy Jason’s gourmet vegan cupcakes while taking in water-themed short films by Big Tea Party and Diedra Krieger, mistress of the Dome.
Midnight: Yoga!
$5 or pay what you can.

In mid-July Morgan and Jason will be blasting off and after a quick trip through the universe they will be landing in New Haven, Connecticut to attend yoga teacher training. So on July 12th they will be cooking up a storm and serving a benefit brunch at Studio 34 to help pay for all of that rocket fuel. Plus it would be nice to spend some time amongst friends before leaving!
Other benefits include…
Vegan Luncheonette at the A-Space
Wednesday July 8th (noon-3pm)
Forrest yoga classes at Studio 34
Thursday July 9th (6-7:30pm)
&
Friday July 10th (5:30-6:45pm)
