Pilates at Studio 34 is offering a special introductory package of three private sessions for only $50 each. It’s a great way to get started with Pilates, or to supplement your current mat practice with private equipment-based Pilates. Make 2009 the year to lengthen, strengthen, and de-stress!
What is Pilates?
In the 1920s, Joseph Pilates create
d a system of controlled, precise movements he called “Contrology.” Emphasizing alignment, concentration, and breathing, these resistance-based exercises are designed to bring the body back into proportion by building core muscles.
Julia’s group classes, which stress flexibility and core-strengthening, will use the mat and small equipment. Private sessions, which are tailored to individual needs and goals, can add specialized equipment such as the Wunda Chair and the Cadillac.
Whether you are interested in getting stronger, stretching, increasing energy, recovering from injury, or are simply looking for a new and effective form of exercise, the Pilates method is worth a try!
