classes
Welcome!Attend any drop-in class you like — no need to pre-register. Do arrive five to 10 minutes early. For yoga classes, bring a mat; we also have a few to lend. Wear comfortable loose-fitting or stretchy clothing. For Forrest Yoga classes, we heat the room to 80 degrees, so we suggest you bring a towel and water. We believe everyone should have access to yoga, and have priced it accordingly. Classes ideal for beginners are marked with a (b).

Tai Chi is the ancient, slow-motion martial art that promotes good health by benefiting both mind and body. Practiced daily, it can reduce high blood pressure, relieve stress and depression, improve balance and flexibility, and boost your immune system. Considered by some a “moving meditation” it can be practiced anywhere with no need for special equipment.
Beginners I: a six- week series that will introduce the first six postures of the Cheng Man Ch’ing form of Yang style tai chi chuan.
Creative and Rhythmic Movement for Children
with Loren
Wednesdays, 2:45-3:30pm – 2.5-4 year olds
Wednesdays, 3:45-4:45pm – 5-7 year olds
May 1 – May 22, 2013
$10 drop-in
$35 for 4-week session
These creative movement classes will focus on moving imaginatively and expressively. As we express our imaginations through our bodies, there will be age appropriate coordinational challenges, stretching, strengthening, rhythmic movement, and social dances. We’ll have lots of fun while being our selves, appreciating each other, working together, dancing like animals, playing games, making up stories with fantastical characters, and more.
