Run by Morgan Andrews and Kate Wand, Theater of the Oppressed is a workshop on theater games for actors and non-actors that reveal and explore dynamics of oppression, shake us from our usual routines and help us rehearse our performances in everyday life. Unlike in traditional dramatic forms that divide spectator and actor, everyone participates in these theatrics. Useful for performers, teachers, organizers, activists and anyone who works with groups. In this half-day workshop, we will play more than 30 games and look for ways to use them in everyday work. Pre-register ($10-$20 sliding scale) by calling (215) 730-0982 or email morganfitzp@gmail.com.
