Rental Rules

To help keep rental fees low, we require event organizers to:

  1. Provide, if requested by Studio 34, a 20% non-refundable deposit upon scheduling the event.
  2. Pay the balance on the day of the event.
  3. Remove trash and event materials (sound equipment, theatrical supplies, artwork, etc.) within 24 hours of the event.

Other rules:

  • For dance events in Studio A and B, soft-soled shoes only, thanks. High heels hurt our floors.
  • Food is only permitted in the lounge and conference room.
  • Alcohol is permitted in moderation, with the purchase of event insurance. No beer kegs, sorry. Also, kindly don’t mention alcohol in promotional materials. (Even “byob.”)
  • We do not sell advance tickets or handle pre-registration for rental events.
  • Unless you rent Studio 34 as a whole, we may book events into other rooms at the same time as yours.

Advertising your event

We are happy to promote renters’ events on our website and in our eNewsletter. One month before your event, email with this info: Event Name, Time, Date; Organization; Contact Name, Email, Website; an Image, if desired; and a Description of up to 50 words (exactly as you would like them to appear, though we reserve the right to edit for space or clarity). You may also include an expanded description.

If you create your own promotional materials, please use our full name: Studio 34: Yoga | Healing | Arts. We can provide you a high-res image file of our logo. And feel free to drop off fliers or cards; we’ll put them on display here. (Don’t post them on utility poles or trees; the City may fine you $75 per flier.)
