Sweet as Pie (After dinner sensory adventure)
Thursday, October 28
9:00pm – 11:00pm
$8 – $10 suggested donation
Have you ever found yourself leafing through old Betty Crocker cookbooks marveling at the desserts that look like space stations and the icings from scratch? Then, did you find yourself wondering if you would ever encounter something like that in real life without taking a time machine back to the 1950′s? Think of this as an opportunity to make some insane dessert from the imagination of your mind or the pages of some random cookbook. So far, I’ve heard folks are bringing sour cream apple pies and blow torches for creme brulees…
After everyone gets a fork or spoon in and finds a big old pillow on the floor and your buds are peakin’, prepare your ears for tweakin’. Come hear the lovely music of Annie and the Beekeepers, and the newest member of Low Anthem, Mat Davidson with his own project Twain while he’s on break from an insane tour schedule, and also the hostess with the mostess, your round the corner West Philly crooner, Birdie Busch.
