Presented by Wild Goose Productions

Saturday, May 1, 7 – 11 p.m.

Featuring music by:

Wes Mattheu and the New Way Down
“They are paving the road between old and new by using mandolin, fiddle, the upright bass, and cello; some dating back to 1910. These Philadelphians are forced to explain, “Yes we do live in the city and not in the hills of Kentucky”.”

Mason Porter
“From a whisper to a roar Mason Porter will take you by surprise. Combining lush harmonies with hand clapping sing-alongs and the
unfiltered emotion of a hungry young rock band, Mason Porter is a
force that evokes the spirits of each and every person whose life they
touch. Call it folk, rock, bluegrass, blues or country; Mason Porter
is all of these. Through creative songwriting and constant experimentation Mason Porter is a group of musicians working together to push the limits of traditional American music. This is clearly evident on the bands first full length album Thunder In The Valley (Uncle Nicky Records, 2009).”

Manatawny Creek Ramblers
“Since 2004 the band has built a mixed repertoire of classic bluegrass tunes by the likes of Bill Monroe, Don Reno, The Stanley Brothers, Del McCoury and Flatt & Scruggs as well as an array of original material. During that time The Manatawny Creek Ramblers have collected an enthusiastic group of followers.”

Marc Silver and the Stonethrowers
“The band blends a passion for traditional song, Appalachian fiddle tunes, and jazz with a unique mix of original songwriting, bluegrass and folk music. Lead singing with great vocal character and seamlessly blended three-part vocal harmonies fill out their energetic delivery.”
