Philly’s first Really Really Free Market

We’re big fans of Freecycle, the Yahoo Group where your unwanted stuff can find a new home that’s not the landfill. Craigslist’s free stuff page serves the same function (as does the expedient of putting your stuff on the curb with a “Free” sign, not that we’re advocating that). So we’re psyched for Philadelphia’s first Really Really Free Market, to be held Sat., June 6 from 1-5 p.m. in Clark Park. Bring stuff; give it away; maybe take something home. From the RRFM website:

If we share our resources we won’t need to buy as many new ones. This uses fewer of the Earth’s resources, and fewer of our working hours, leaving us more time to devote to ourselves and our communities.

Just remember: if you bring something and no one takes it, bring it home again.
